Why should I participate in Bridal Shows?
Bridal shows provide a marketplace for wedding professionals to advertise their products and services to a large audience, to a specific targeted audience, without spending large advertising dollars. Traditional advertising can be a hit-or-miss since dollars spent are always a guarantee that you’re going to get your business in front of the right person. Bridal shows bring your target audience to you…brides and their families are coming to see YOU to purchase your services and products. Bridal shows also provide an invaluable opportunity to network with other vendors in the industry.
Why Women of Color and what makes your Bridal Show
different than others?
AlexanderMikal presents this unique bridal shows in the Houston area simply because our experience and research has indicated that there is a great need of diversity in such shows. Since the Houston area has a large number of brides-to-be from ethnic communities, we specifically market and invite brides from such communities, in addition to the traditional mainstream brides. This also provides a perfect opportunity for vendors to get a larger exposure as well as giving companies an opportunity to network with other ethnic vendors, giving even greater exposure.
What is our advertising strategy?
The AlexanderMikal advertising our shows. Our Bridal Shows are typically advertised in:
- Area Wide Local Newspapers
- Churches, social and professional organizations
- Radio air time
- Ethnic Newspapers, Radio Stations, and Magazine
- Postcards provided to vendors
What is the expected attendance of brides?
We anticipate, with above mentioned advertising strategy, to attract an approximate 500-600 guests. It is, however, very difficult to predict the number of brides attending a bridal show. Please note that our marketing team predicts that almost half of the guests are brides-to-be. We’ve made our show affordable and have great giveaways, including scholarships and local live talent to perform, that make the show attractive and draw a large number of brides.
We make it affordable for brides to attend our shows by giving them discount on the admission ticket if they pre-register. Our exceptional (and valuable) giveaways are very attractive and draw a large number of brides.
How much is my investment?
We put a special emphasis on promoting local businesses when we plan our shows, thus our booth prices are very low. Additionally, we offer flexible payment schedules to also make participation as easy as possible.
Currently, we offer standard, corner, and double booths. There are also premium Sponsor Booths that are available as well. When considering the investment we encourage businesses to compare the amount they spend on traditional advertising to attract a ‘hit-or-miss’ number of customers; most have found that the money spend to try to attract a handful of potential customers is well more than the investment for bridal shows.
What are the benefits for Exhibitors?
Low-cost publicity: Exhibitors attending bridal shows, get publicity without spending enormous amount of dollars on advertising. Our company incurs the thousands of dollars on advertising, and hours networking and establishing relationships to drive the maximum amount of traffic to the shows. The exhibitors booth fee cover a fraction of the advertising budget
Lead Lists: Exhibitors receive a list of brides that attend the show that they are free to market their business to directly.
Website Link and Internet Listing: All exhibitors are placed on the Women of Color Bridal Expo website, with a link to their own website, if available.
Networking: All of the shows produced by our parent company have produced incredible networking opportunities with other wedding professionals.

What are the different booth types?
Our standard booth size is 10 x 10. We provide a 6 foot skirted (black) table, two chairs, a trash can and a standard sign.
Corner booths are the same size as the standard 10 x 10 or 20 x 10,but they allow traffic on two sides which can give more room for displays or interaction.
